Effective September 17, 2026
This policy explains what Blue Pool Company (“we”, “us”) collects when you use bluepoolcompany.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and what you can ask us to do with it. We have written it in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email us at info@bluepoolcompany.com and a person will answer.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.
Who we are
Blue Pool Company is a residential pool service company based in Houston, Texas, serving Harris, Fort Bend and Montgomery counties. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
What we collect
We collect three kinds of information.
Information you give us
When you use the instant price form we collect your name, mobile number, email address, ZIP code and details about your pool (in-ground or above-ground, approximate size, water type and current condition). When you book, we also collect your service address, any entry notes you add such as a gate code, and your preferred start date. If you contact us through the contact form we collect the name, email and message you send.
Payment information
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number, expiry and security code are entered directly into Stripe’s hosted fields and are sent to Stripe, not to us. We never see or store your full card number. We receive only the last four digits, the card brand, the expiry and whether the payment succeeded, so we can show you your billing history and support your subscription.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites we receive your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the page that referred you. We use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate traffic measurement and Google Search Console for search performance. Stripe also sets fraud-prevention cookies on checkout pages. See our Cookie Policy for details and your choices.
Service records
Once you are a customer, each visit creates a record: the date, the technician, water chemistry readings, notes and a dated photo of your pool. These are kept in your account so you can see what was done.
Why we use it
- To calculate your price and show you a quote before you commit to anything.
- To create your account, schedule your visits and route a technician to your address.
- To take payment, bill your subscription and send receipts.
- To send you service messages: booking confirmations, visit reports, schedule changes and billing notices. These are part of the service, not marketing.
- To answer your questions and resolve problems.
- To keep the site working, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet our legal and tax obligations.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages and service areas people use, so we can improve the site.
If you do not finish booking
If you enter your name, phone and email in the price form but do not complete a booking, we keep that quote so we can answer if you call or write, and so you can pick up where you left off. We may send you one follow-up email about your quote. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete the quote at any time.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the business, and only what each one needs:
- Stripe for payment processing and subscription billing.
- Our email provider for transactional email such as receipts and visit reports.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its database in the United States.
- Google Analytics and Search Console for aggregate website measurement.
- Our technicians, who see your name, address, entry notes and pool details in order to perform the service.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our customers, our employees or the public. If the business is ever sold or merged, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction; we would tell you first.
How long we keep it
Quotes that never become bookings are kept for two years and then deleted. Customer account records, including visit history, are kept while you are a customer and for seven years afterwards, because invoices and payment records have to be retained for tax purposes. You can ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep.
How we protect it
The site runs over HTTPS on every page. Payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI Service Provider Level 1 processor, so card data never reaches our servers. Access to customer records is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affected your personal information we would notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by Texas law.
Your choices and rights
You can do all of the following at any time:
- See or correct your information. Log in to your account, or email us and we will send you a copy.
- Delete your information. Ask us and we will delete everything we are not required to keep for tax or legal reasons.
- Stop marketing email. Use the unsubscribe link in any email. You will still receive service messages while you have an active subscription.
- Opt out of analytics. See the Cookie Policy.
- Cancel your service. Any time, from your account, with no fee.
Texas residents have specific rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including the right to confirm whether we process your data, to obtain a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it and to opt out of sale or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. To exercise any right, email us and we will verify your identity and respond within 45 days. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and you may contact the Texas Attorney General.
If you are a California resident, you have comparable rights under the CCPA. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there, and we will never discriminate against you for exercising a right.
Children
This site is for adults arranging service for their own property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date below and, for material changes, tell active customers by email. Effective September 17, 2026.
